Ambassador Olivier de Preville of the Sovereign Order of Malta in Niger was received by the President of the Republic, Mohamed Bazoum.

During the meeting, they exchanged views on the upcoming and past activities of the Order of Malta in the country, the geopolitical and security aspects in Niger, and the sickle cell disease medical project.

As sickle cell disease affects more than 20% of Nigeriens, the President of the Republic reiterated his desire and support for the project of the Order of Malta (see The Project).
